  • If your insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits, you may submit for reimbursement. To make this process as seamless as possible, I will verify your out-of-network benefits so that you know exactly what you will owe before our first session. Often, you can be reimbursed 70-80% of the cost of therapy. If you have an FSA or HSA account, you are also able to utilize these funds to pay for your sessions.

Some clients choose not to use their insurance due to: the increased risk of the loss of the privacy of their health information; permanent records that are created with insurance companies which can impact certain jobs, access to health care, or some kinds of health or life insurance; and the necessity of providing a psychiatric diagnosis to your insurance representative in order to determine the “medical necessity” of your therapy. Please keep in mind, that your insurance company may limit the number of sessions you may have and the kinds of services you receive.
